PROCESS OF MAKING THEKUA
MIXTURE OF INGREDIENTS
INGREDIENTS:
Wheat flour, jaggery, grated coconut, sooji, desi ghee, dry nuts, saunf powder, elichee powder, khand, milk.
SHAPE THE THEKUAS
- Take small portion of the dough
- Flatten them slightly with your palm
- Give the desired shape to your thekua
DEEP FRYING AND COOLING
- Heat ghee in a deep pan on medium flame
- Gently slight in the shaped thekuas
- Fry on low to medium heat until they turn golden brown on both sides
- Remove and place on tissue paper to drain excess oil
- Let them cool completely, then store in an airtight container
